Teacher Daniela foresees a tornado ripping through her Texas hometown, sending her on an investigation of a toxic history. Her childhood friend, Isaac, returns to help his father and struggles to reconnect with the town he’s outgrown. As they rebuild their relationship with each other, Daniela and Isaac explore change, loss, and fighting for a future that could be.

 

This Is Where I'll Be reckons with the complicated relationship many people have with their hometowns by digging into the ways where and who we’re from can hurt us, and how that hurt can linger and transform.
